Occupation overview

Lean manufacturing operatives use their developing knowledge of lean techniques to bolster manufacturing operations using a variety of systems such as kaizen, continuous improvement (CI), and process visualisation tools.  

A lean manufacturing operative works to these principles by being mindful of the opportunities to make savings in time, money, and effort across multiple projects and products. The standard features the core and four pathways: production/assembly, inspection/quality, logistics/material, and production processing/finishing.

End-point assessment with EAL 

EAL is an end-point assessment organisation (EPAO), and listed on the Apprenticeship Providers and Assessment Register (APAR). 

EAL has been at the heart of new apprenticeship standards development, supporting employer trailblazer development groups for key industry occupations since 2013, when the reforms began.
