The EAL Level 4 Diploma in Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (Development Competence) qualification covers the specific skills, knowledge, and behaviours for a range of engineering manufacturing disciplines which have been developed in consultation with sector industry specialists and training providers to ensure that it meets the needs of industry, employers and apprentices and covers apprenticeship standards developed across the engineering manufacturing sector.
This qualification is mandated within the England Apprenticeship Standard Aerospace Engineer Level 6 - ST0010 and supports but is not mandated within the following standards: Control/Technical Support Engineer Level 6 - ST0023, Electrical/Electronic Technical Support Engineer Level 6 -ST0024, Manufacturing Engineer Level 6 - ST0025 and Product Design and Development Engineer Level 6 - ST0027.
The minimum age for registration is 16.
