The EAL Level 3 Diploma in Gas Utilisation: Core Skills and Knowledge is a Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ). It has been specifically designed as a knowledge component which can be used as evidence in the Apprenticeship. It is predominantly for learners who want to be gas installation and maintenance engineers and first-call operatives dealing with upstream and downstream gas emergencies working in the gas industry in UK, Isle of Man and Guernsey. The qualification may also be suitable for learners 16-18 or 19+ who are interested in gas utilisation and/or are considering a career change.
The qualification covers a wide range of subjects including health and safety, scientific principles, combustion and properties of gas, building services and structures and core gas safety principles.
This qualification is NOT a competency-based qualification, and as such, the learners would need additional competence training if they were successful in securing employment in the industry.
As an approved centre, you can deliver recognised EAL qualifications to your learners, and receive ongoing support from our team.
