EAL Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electronic Security Systems

This single-unit award provides learners with an understanding of the design, installation, and commissioning of electronic security systems that conform to the requirements of relevant standards. It focuses on developing the knowledge and practical skills for VSS, intruder alarms, and access control to enable new sector entrants, existing engineers from aligned industry sectors, and those who have only carried one specialism to diversify and broaden their knowledge and skills.

Learners will cover relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice, as well as system components, design considerations, and installation, commissioning, and maintenance requirements. They will learn how to plan and implement electronic security systems tailored to various environments, as well as how to apply best practices for optimal system performance and security.
