The EAL Level 2 Certificate in Rail Engineering is a Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ). It is suitable for learners aged 16-18 and 19+ in full-time education who are interested in pursuing a career in the rail engineering sector. The qualification may also be suitable for adults interested in rail engineering and/or considering a career change.
Units include engineering technology, maintenance technology, engineering industry and maintaining mechanical devices and equipment. This qualification underpins the knowledge element for the Level 2 Rail Infrastructure Engineering in the Welsh Apprenticeship Framework.
