The countdown is on for the first Vocational Celebration Day!
With just weeks to go until the UK's first Vocational Celebration Day on Thursday 6 August, the official countdown clock is now live.
The countdown marks the build-up to a new annual celebration created by Enginuity and EAL to recognise vocational learners, apprentices, employers, educators and everyone championing technical skills across the UK.
As excitement builds, we're inviting organisations and individuals to join the movement and help make the first Vocational Celebration Day one to remember.
The celebrations will culminate on Thursday 6 August with a special live edition of Steph on Skills: Powered by Enginuity, hosted by broadcaster and former apprentice Steph McGovern.
Streaming live from 10am from Teagle Machinery Ltd in Truro, Cornwall, the programme will bring together learners, employers, educators and sector leaders from across the UK to celebrate vocational achievement.
Viewers can expect inspiring learner stories, conversations with employers investing in skills, insights from educators and special guests, alongside live celebrations from around the country. The livestream will shine a spotlight on the people choosing vocational pathways and the important role they play in powering the UK's workforce.
There are plenty of ways to get involved, whether you're an employer, training provider, college, school or learner.
Employers can celebrate by opening their doors to showcase careers, hosting workplace tours, offering work experience or highlighting the achievements of their apprentices and employees.
Schools, colleges and training providers can organise learner celebrations, share success stories, invite employers to speak with students or hold events that recognise the achievements of those completing vocational qualifications.
Individuals can also take part by sharing their own vocational journey on social media using #VocationalCelebrationDay and #CelebrateVocational, helping inspire the next generation to explore the opportunities vocational learning can offer.
To make it even easier to take part, we've created a free toolkit containing social media assets, campaign messaging, content ideas and everything you need to support Vocational Celebration Day.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the countdown clock as we get closer to 6 August, when learners, employers and educators from across the UK will come together to celebrate the value of vocational education and the people building the skills our economy depends on.
Visit the Vocational Celebration Day page to watch the countdown, download the free toolkit and find out how you can join the celebrations on 6 August.
