Statement - Ofqual announcement, 4 August 2026

Following the announcement from Ofqual on August 4th a spokesperson from EAL said:

“EAL acknowledges the details of this matter and respects Ofqual’s decision, which relates to specific areas of historic non-compliance. Throughout the process we have engaged constructively, cooperated with Ofqual and have taken significant steps to further strengthen our governance, assurance and compliance systems. We will fully deliver the agreed undertakings.

Delivering vocational and technical qualifications and assessment to over 75,000 learners annually, our priority is maintaining confidence in the quality, validity and reliability of the qualifications and assessments that we deliver for learners, centres, employers and the sectors that we serve. We remain committed to delivering value and positive impact for all our stakeholders.”
