Great news for electrical training providers and learners in England.
The Department for Education (DfE) has confirmed that three additional EAL qualifications are now eligible for funding through the High Value Courses Premium (HVCP) for construction in the 2026/27 academic year.
Following its July guidance update, the DfE confirmed on 4 November 2026 that the following qualifications are included:
The HVCP provides additional 16-19 funding for selected Level 2 and Level 3 construction programmes, helping to develop the skilled workforce needed by the sector.
We welcome this additional investment, which will help learners looking to enter the electrical industry while supporting our centres to deliver high-quality training and qualifications.
The DfE will publish the list of eligible qualifications for 2027/28 allocations in due course.
