Join EAL for a morning of connection, sharing ideas and exchanging best practices in Building Services Engineering.
EAL are delighted to invite you for this free pilot networking event at Bath College's Somer Valley Campus.
This event is designed to be informal, collaborative, and discussion-led and will bring together educators, assessors, curriculum leaders, and training providers to explore:
Through roundtable discussions, facilitated group sessions and peer networking, attendees will have the opportunity to share challenges, exchange best practice, discuss curriculum delivery and assessment approaches, and identify future collaborations.
The event will also provide updates from EAL on qualifications, provider support and future developments to help centres prepare for upcoming changes.
Whether you're looking to gain fresh insights, build valuable connections, or contribute to shaping a stronger provider network, this session offers a practical forum to learn from peers and influence future support for the sector.
Time | Activity |
| 09:00 - 09:45 | Arrival, refreshments, and informal networking |
| 09:45 - 10:15 | Networking roundtable: Shared priorities A group discussion on what providers are currently seeing, needing, and working through. Each provider will have the chance to share current priorities, pressures, and opportunities where the group can identify themes across curriculum, assessment, and staff development. |
| 10:15 - 10:30 | Refreshments and informal networking |
| 10:30 - 11:15 | Facilitated discussion In smaller groups, attendees will look at where shared discussion or collaboration be most useful. They will be asked to discuss how providers are interpreting and prepared for Amendment 4 and the EAS changes, curriculum planning and delivering challenges, lecturer CPD and assessor confidence, assessment, resources and standardisation needs and opportunities to keep educators connected after the event. |
| 11:15 - 11:35 | Review of group findings Each group will feed back their key findings, opening a wider discussion and agreeing actions and follow-up points. |
| 11:35 - 11:55 | Discussion: Next steps and close The group will be asked to discuss what would make future network events useful, which topics should be revisited or explored in more depth, who else should be invited to the network, and what follow-up information, resources or introductions would help providers. |
| 11:55 - 12:00 | Final networking and departure |
There is free parking onsite if travelling by car. For further details please read the 'How to get to the Somer Valley Campus' section on Bath College's website.
