The EAL Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating is a Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ). It focuses on fundamental practical skills and knowledge. This ensures that when the learner completes the qualification, they will have gained practical experience and expectations of some of the situations that they could face in a job role within the plumbing sector.
This qualification is predominantly for learners 16-18 or 19+ who are progressing from the level 2 diploma in plumbing and heating and have the ability to achieve a level 3 plumbing and heating qualification. The qualification has been specifically designed to offer progression into a higher level of study or an Apprenticeship.
The qualification covers a wide range of subjects, including the installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques of domestic cold water systems, domestic hot water systems and domestic central heating systems.
This qualification is NOT competency-based, and as such, the learners would need additional competence training if they were successful in securing employment in industry.
As an approved centre, you can deliver recognised EAL qualifications to your learners, and receive ongoing support from our team.
