The EAL Level 3 Award in Vehicle Tail Lift Inspection and Maintenance is a Level 3 Vocationally Related Qualification in vehicle tail lift maintenance and testing (Knowledge and Skills). It will give learners knowledge and understanding of vehicle tail lift serving, maintenance and testing activities. The qualification covers the intermediate knowledge and understanding that is required by someone working with vehicle tail lifts.

This qualification is not graded; learners can either pass or fail.
Learners must be at least 18 years old. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification; however centres should ensure that the learner has the potential to achieve this qualification. Learners must have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy to complete the learning outcomes and the external assessment.
