The EAL Level 1 Award in Building Services Engineering is a Vocational Related Qualification (VRQ). It involves the fundamental knowledge and some of the practical aspects involved within the various engineering occupations within the building services sector.
This qualification is predominantly for learners 16-18 or 19+ who may have limited prior knowledge and understanding of the building services engineering sector but have the ability to achieve a fundamental level qualification. Also, those who are thinking about building services engineering as a career but who would like some experience of the job role first and those who are new to the industry or looking for a career change or wish to learn new skills.
The qualification covers a wide range of subjects, including electrical installation operations, plumbing operations, refrigeration & air conditioning operations and heating & ventilating operations.
This qualification does not require occupational evidence to complete.
