Development of tutor resources for EAL’s Electrotechnical Qualification

A dedication to excellence in education has always underpinned EAL's commitment to providing high-quality electrotechnical qualifications. One critical aspect of this is our recent commitment to creating comprehensive tutor resources tailored specifically to our EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification.

The EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification covers a wide array of topics, from electrical theory and regulations to hands-on practical skills. To ensure that both instructors and learners benefit from a structured and standardised approach to learning, we embarked on the journey of crafting tutor resources that would enhance the educational experience.

These tutor resources are meticulously developed to address various needs within the education and training sector. They offer instructors a standardised curriculum aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements, allowing them to focus on teaching rather than resource development. Additionally, the resources keep instructors updated with the ever-evolving electrical industry, providing the latest information and best practices.

By creating these tutor resources, EAL aims to empower both instructors and learners, facilitating a high-quality learning experience that produces competent and safety-conscious electrical professionals and ensuring learners are well-prepared for their careers.

The range of resources that will shortly be made available to centres delivering the EAL Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification are:

• Unit 1 - Understand Health, Safety and Environmental Considerations
• Unit 3 - Understand How to Plan and Oversee Electrical Work Activities.

Additionally, resources for the following unit are in the final stages of sign-off and will be available later in the autumn.

• Unit 8 - Electrical Scientific Principles and Technologies.

These resources will be made available via online services to all centres offering the qualification. We are finalising the process by which we ensure security and a reliable delivery method for you, and we will communicate how to access the resources when they are officially released in the near future.
