What is this qualification?

This qualification meets the requirements of the Wolf report and is suitable for delivery in schools. It is included in the 2016 DFE Key Stage 4 Performance Tables list and has the equivalence of one GCSE. This qualification counts towards the Progress 8 measure.The learner must complete three mandatory units and choose one optional unit from thirty one optional units to suit local requirements.

This vocational Level 2 qualification is intended for learners who require a Level 2 engineering qualification to provide them with a broad base of engineering understanding. It is intended for 14 -16 learners completing a vocational engineering qualification as a part of their school curriculum.
