This qualification is designed to cover the skills and knowledge of a wide variety of engineering technical support activities such as engineering drawing, inspection and testing and technical services.

There are no entry qualifications or age limits required by learners to undertake the qualification unless this is a legal requirement of the process or the environment. Assessment is open to any learner who has the potential to achieve the assessment criteria set out in the qualification.

Apprentices as part of the Enginuity Apprenticeship in Engineering framework. Employees who need recognition of their competence in one or more of a wide variety of engineering technical support activities.

The qualification is assessed through internal Centre marked assessments to test the practical skills and knowledge of learners. Assessment guidance is provided within each unit.

Knowledge qualifications can be delivered in a classroom or workshop environment.
