This qualification allows learners to demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed to supervise a variety of logistics activities. Learners take three mandatory units covering health, safety, security, effective contribution to a business and optimising the use of logistics resources. Further credit comes from a wide range of optional units, covering areas including leadership, compliance, scheduling and environmental awareness.

Centres should ensure that the learners have the potential to achieve the units selected within this qualification. Learners must have the minimum levels of literacy and numeracy to comply with the health and safety aspects of the scheme, the completion of the learning outcomes and the assessments.

New or existing workers in team leading or supervisory roles within the supply chain operation.

Assessment will be carried out in the workplace (unless otherwise specified) via observation and the collation of evidence in a portfolio.

This qualification is designed to be undertaken in the workplace.
