EAL Level 2 Certificate In Railway Engineering Track Renewals
This qualification equips the learner with the knowledge and skills of the track renewal process on the UK railway infrastructure. It addresses the need to both upskill and reskill the rail engineering workforce, and has been developed in close consultation with the National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering (NSARE), training associations and industry to ensure it meets the needs of the sector.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification although Centres should ensure that learners have the potential to achieve the qualification unit.
This qualification is designed for both the existing workforce as well as new entrants into the railway industry.
The qualification offers a flexible approach to assessment. Knowledge tests are taken by the learner at strategic key points, and an innovative, pocket sized log book is used to record and assess the learner
The qualification can be delivered completely at the Centre, with a mix of workshop and theory sessions.
