This qualification is based on the Composite Engineering national occupational standards developed by Enginuity .  It involves the skills and knowledge needed for industry and requires the learner to carry out a range of composite engineering related activities such as producing, assembling, installing and repairing composite mouldings.

If applicable – learners undertaking qualifications must meet any applicable entry requirements including, entry qualifications, legal requirements of the process or the environment, or any other specific restrictions. Where these exist, assessment will be open to any learner who has met entry requirements) and has the potential to achieve the assessment criteria set out in the units.

The qualification has been designed for those involved in composite engineering manufacturing activities and may typically be responsible for the day-to-day running of equipment and the quality of work.  They will also be required to exercise judgement and decision making about the manufacturing process.
