EAL Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation Inspection, Testing, Certification and Reporting
EAL, the specialist awarding organisation for industry, has worked with customers to develop a new electrical qualification that's more efficient and cost effective to deliver.
The EAL Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation Inspection, Testing, Certification and Reporting 603/2625/6 combines two existing EAL initial verification/periodic inspection and reporting qualifications for both single and three phase electrical installations.
Nigel Best, founder and managing director of Electrician Courses 4U (EC4U) supported EAL to develop the new qualification, which is approved by industry regulators the JIB and SJIB.
"As an EAL customer, we have always found the team to be flexible in its approach and we receive excellent customer service, so I was delighted to support the application for the new qualification," said Mr Best.
"This new hybrid qualification is ideal for both the learners and training centres because without compromising on quality, the course delivery is easier to manage, shorter in duration, and more cost effective. So it's a win win situation for both EAL centres and their employer/learner customers."
The new qualification retains and builds on some of the key features and benefits customers valued in the existing qualifications. The examination is open book and the online exam allows the use of Guidance Note 3 Inspection and Testing, published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
It utilises existing centre rigs and facilitates (CR1 and CR2) as required for the EAL Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations 600/4338/6, so centres currently delivering this qualification don't need to invest in any additional delivery resources.
