  • Steph McGovern to Host Enginuity Awards Night

The irrepressible Steph McGovern is to host the most glittering awards evening in the business calendar – live from her Packed Lunch Channel 4 studios, on March 18th, it has been announced.

The eagerly awaited Enginuity Awards, postponed from last year due to the Covid pandemic, will honour some extraordinary people across the country making a difference in engineering.

The sector is set to play a crucial role on the road to economic recovery and Enginuity is at the heart of optimising potential by connecting employers, educators, individuals and governments to boost skills, production and planning.

There are 13 categories and the coveted Best of British Engineering which recognises outstanding achievement.

Steph, who is celebrating the recommissioning of her hit daily show, is a qualified engineer in her own right and has championed engineers and engineering.

The event, which begins at 19.00, will be streamed live and can be accessed with the following Zoom Link.

Steph said: “Get your glad rags on wherever you are going to be watching – we are going to party as we give out the gongs. Engineering literally floats boats, keeps us safe and healthy and helps us live life to the full. What’s not to like?”

Ann Watson, CEO of Enginuity said: “The Enginuity Skills Awards show the power that the sector possesses to get the UK back on the road to recovery – both physical and economic.

“This will be a night to celebrate ingenuity and Enginuity – and the extraordinary efforts of individuals, institutions and businesses across the country.
