Commissioned by the Skills Minister, the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) is leading a reform programme for Functional Skills qualifications.
Working closely with awarding organisations and Ofqual, ETF will ensure that the features of the reformed qualifications are reflected in teaching and learning support material. In addition, they are tasked with updating Functional Skills qualifications based on the new conditions of assessment.
With EAL’s own highly-regarded Functional Skills qualifications designed to allow learners to demonstrate skills in English, mathematics and ICT in real life contexts, we are delighted that ETF will be delivering a reform programme to provide more rigorous and respected qualifications.
The reform programme is scheduled to produce a report for Ministers in August 2016, with the intention for new qualifications to be available in 2018.
