IET Wiring Regulations Amendment 2 - EAL Qualifications

Important changes are coming to the wiring regulations award due to Amendment 2 of BS 7671:2018

Amendment 2 (2022) to BS 7671:2018 (IET Wiring Regulations) is due to be published on 28th March 2022 and Amendment 1 (BS 7671:2018+A1:2020) will be withdrawn six months later.

To accommodate this change we are currently updating our wiring regulations award:

This qualification update will enable centres to register the Learner on the Amendment 1 unit in the qualification or the Amendment 2 unit. The benefit given is that Learners who complete the Amendment 2 unit will have ‘2022’ on their unit certificate and complete to the most current requirements. Learners who have already completed the qualification to Amendment 1 may undertake the new Amendment 2 unit as standalone unit (e.g. for CPD) if they wish. We will then retire the Amendment 1 unit from the qualification 6 months after Amendment 2 comes into force (in September 22), and the Amendment 1 unit assessment unit will be withdrawn at the end of 2022.
