After 1st July 2016 all learners completing the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment) 501/1605/8 must show, as a minimum, acceptable installation evidence in the ‘real working environment’ of the following containment and cabling systems:
Containment | Cabling |
Trunking Metallic | PVC/PVC flat profile (Multicore)Trunking PVC |
Trunking PVC | Single and multicore thermoplastic |
Conduit Metallic | Fire Resistant Cabling |
Conduit PVC | SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) |
Cable Tray |
Due to the reduction in the mandatory requirements from the original 18 (nine containment and nine cabling), and based on feedback from an industry survey on simulation in assessment, simulation of evidence will no longer be accepted. Centres can download the units from on-line services.
