Enginuity SALUTES LEVY CLARITY - Good News For Business

Enginuity is ready to redouble its efforts to help British industry make the most of the impending root and branch reform of apprenticeship funding.

The organisation, which represents more than 148,000 companies large and small in engineering and advanced manufacturing, has launched a free end-to-end service to help businesses successfully make the transition.

The Enginuity Group is offering free consultations and fully assisted support to help both levy and non-paying levy businesses recruit, train and qualify apprentices across the country.

EAL Delivers New Trailblazer Rail Apprenticeships

EAL is to release the first of its pioneering trailblazer apprenticeship qualifications for the rail industry in September.

The industry specialist-awarding organisation is playing an ever more prominent part in developing the skills required to digitise the UK rail system’s Victorian infrastructure.

Fast becoming the awarding organisation of choice for Rail, EAL introduces the new Level 3 Rail Engineering Technician Competency and Knowledge Apprenticeship qualifications to its raft of awards that covers all six disciplines recognised by the industry as instrumental, (track, traction and rolling stock, signalling, telecoms, electrification and overhead line).

Weld-off-winnersStudents have driven off with a prestigious prize after creating a replica Royal carriage fit for The Queen.

Matthew Hughes, Gareth Phillips, Owen Fitzgibbon and Thomas Lavender created the impressive carriage during a fiercely contested national final of a welding competition.

Weld Off 2016 proved to be a third consecutive win for EAL registered centre, Coleg Cambria in North Wales, when the four students produced their stunning entry for the competition themed God Save the Queen in celebration of the Monarch’s 90th birthday.

F1 Youngsters Racing Towards Rewarding Career

Budding designers, engineers and technicians are on the starting grid for a rewarding career having battled it out at the Silverstone circuit last week – thanks to specialist industry awarding organisation EAL.

The youngsters, who reached the UK finals of the F1 in Schools competition, are on track to earn a qualification, which counts towards professional requirements.

Passage to India for next generation of engineers

Skills experts from the UK are passing on their expert knowledge to former members of the Indian armed forces to help them train the next generation of engineers in their country.

An 11-strong delegation from Mumbai has been on an intensive six-day Train the Trainer course, organised and run by the Enginuity group, to learn how best to deliver training to help support the next generation of apprentices, graduates and employees entering or already working in engineering careers.

A dynamic partnership to deliver the very best apprentices and graduates to the UK aerospace sector has been formed between Airbus and EAL, the specialist awarding organisation for industry.

The partnership, will help deliver the Early Careers Strategy at Airbus sites in Broughton and Filton, ensuring training is in line with industry needs and best practice.

EAL's Head of Commercial Development Natalie Wilson said: "We have a long-standing working relationship providing apprenticeship qualifications to Airbus but this new agreement takes our excellent partnership to a new level.

Women engineers are celebrating being the very best of British – after a glittering red-carpet ceremony in London.

As United Nations Women & Girls in Science Day dawned, (February 11th) – British women were ‘cleaning up’ at the Enginuity Skills Awards held at The Hilton Park Lane – industry’s most prestigious awards ceremony.

More women than ever before had been nominated for an award and one, Emma England, was judged to be the very ‘Best of British’.
