Government and industry employers in the Sultanate of Oman are being offered a better standard of training after adopting EAL qualifications.
Learning providers the National Training Institute (NTI) and the Technical & Administrative Training Institute (TATI) are contracted by the Omani Minister of Manpower, as well as private employers, to deliver industrial training for young people and adults.
NTI delivers EAL qualifications and bespoke programmes to a growing range of Omani employers across the oil, gas, petro-chemical, construction, process and manufacturing industries. TATI’s established client base of over 40 companies includes most of Oman’s private sector businesses, including Petroleum Development Oman, Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals, Daleel Petroleum, Bahwan Engineering Company, Al Turki, STS, Attila Dogan, Larsen & Toubro, among others.
Mani Sankar, General Manager at TATI, said: “We wanted a partnership with a third party to independently evaluate and certify the quality of our training. EAL caters to all our needs in engineering disciplines, and its qualifications have helped to shape our training programmes and improve our offer. Having worked with several other UK awarding organisations, we have found EAL is the most customer friendly – and the expertise of its Quality Assurance team gives us a lot of confidence.

Both TATI and NTI recently shared the benefits of their experiences of working with EAL to senior Omani business leaders at a masterclass on developing a sustainable workforce, which was hosted by EAL in Muscat.
