The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations are due to be published in July 2018, and come into effect in January 2019.
We’re working closely with key stakeholders (including the JIB) and can confirm that the new wiring regulations award will continue to comprise of a single qualification and be assessed by a 60 question open book exam requiring the use of BS 7671.
We’re planning to offer the new qualification from early July 2018.
We will also be updating assessments and exams in other relevant qualifications to provide a smooth transition to the January 2019 implementation date. Further support and guidance will be provided in the coming months, to ensure that all our centres and learners are fully prepared for the changes.
