Our parent company Enginuity is leading a UK review of the National Occupational Standards (NOS) in Marine Engineering and new Modern Apprenticeship frameworks to ensure they meet the changing needs of industry. 

Enginuity is now requesting feedback from employers, training providers and key stakeholders who have an interest in contributing to:

  • New Modern Apprenticeship framework in Boat Building and Repair
  • New Modern Apprenticeship framework in Science, Technical, Formulation Processing*
  • Review of Marine Engineering NOS (Suite 3) 

*Suitable for employers, training providers and key stakeholders working in the areas of chemicals, bio science, food and drink manufacturing and other related industries.

Enginuity National Occupational Standards (NOS) and Modern Apprenticeship Consultation Day

This event will be run as a drop in session and all employers, training providers and key stakeholders with an interest in the areas listed above are invited to attend to hear more regarding the developments and provide their views and feedback.

Marine Engineering National Occupational Standard (NOS) (Suite 3) Review and Modern Apprenticeship Developments in Boat Building and Repair

Date: Wednesday 12th September 2018
Time: 9:30 - 12:30
Venue: ESP, Argyll Court, Castle Business Park, Stirling, FK9 4TY

This event is for employers, training providers and key stakeholders who have an interest in contributing to a review of the current Marine Engineering NOS (Suite 3) that underpins the content of the current Marine Engineering SVQ (SCQF 6) and Marine Engineering pathway in the Modern Apprenticeship.

During this event training providers and users of the SVQ and the NOS standards will have the opportunity to provide feedback related to content of the standards and make recommendations for change to ensure that the standards remain up to date and fit for purpose.

This event will also review proposals for a new Modern Apprenticeship in Boat Building and Repair and will share with attendees draft content for the new Modern Apprenticeship framework.

Modern Apprenticeship Developments in Science, Technical, Formulation Processing

Date: Wednesday 12th September 2018
Time: 13:00 – 15:15
Venue: ESP, Argyll Court, Castle Business Park, Stirling, FK9 4TY

This event will review proposals for a new Modern Apprenticeship in Science, Technical, Formulation Processing and will share with attendees draft content for the New Modern Apprenticeship framework.

The new Modern Apprenticeship framework proposal combines the disciplines of science, processing and engineering and takes a multi skilling approach to content.

This event is suitable for employers, training providers and key stakeholders working in the areas of chemicals, bio science, food and drink manufacturing and other related industries.
