  • EAL Awards shortlisted for industry awards celebrating End-Point Assessment Organisations

EAL Awards has been shortlisted in the Specialist Sector EPAO of the Year category at the EPA Awards.

EAL has exciting news about End Point Assessment. The Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) has announced the finalists for the EPA 2023 Awards, which aim to celebrate the amazing achievements of end point assessment (EPA) organisations over the past year.

Having been at the heart of engineering and manufacturing for three decades, EAL's heritage and team of trusted experts have built an unrivalled knowledge and understanding of the skills employers need, which is why we are so proud to be recognised and shortlisted for this award.

The event is taking place on May 18th at Warwick Conferences, and it's going to be a fantastic part of the EPA 2023 Conference, Awards, and Exhibition. So, mark your calendars and get ready to celebrate!

In response to the news of EAL Awards being shortlisted, Al Parkes, Chief Operating Officer at EAL Awards, said:

"I am proud that EAL has been recognised amongst our peers and shortlisted as a finalist. It’s a testament to the fantastic work that our colleagues, delivery partners and customers do each-and-every day, putting the learners at the heart of what we do, supporting them to achieve their aspirations for success in their chosen careers in advanced manufacturing & engineering.

As the specialist EPAO for the sector supporting over 31 standards we put the interests of the sectors we serve first, often delivering in niche areas, and in helping create the next generation of engineers for a sustainable future”

The Federation's CEO, Tom Bewick, said:

"These annual industry awards recognise extraordinary excellence in the end-point assessment of apprentices.

The EPA market has matured significantly since 2017. Thanks to reforms which FAB called for in external quality assurance (EQA), we are now at the end of a transition period where the majority of EPAOs operate in a statutory-led regulated environment.

Changes that pave the way for greater public confidence in the apprenticeship system.

These awards represent the sector’s commitment to training quality by ensuring every apprentice is assessed against workplace proficiency and competence, regardless of the occupation or where the apprentice or employer in England is based.

I’m delighted to see such a strong field of finalists making the cut this year, as we prepare for the industry’s flagship conference at Warwick on 18th May 2023 – #EPA2023."

The finalists for the EPA 2023 Awards are a true reflection of the industry's unwavering commitment to ensuring that every apprentice in England, regardless of their occupation or location, is evaluated based on their workplace proficiency and competence. We are thrilled to be part of the incredible work being done to support the growth and success of apprentices.
