EAL (Excellence, Achievement and Learning, Ltd) were the only organisation to win two awards on the evening – receiving 'Qualification of the Year' and also 'Innovation of the Year'. The achievement for EAL represented an accumulation of group effort in creating and launching two successful projects.
The FAB Awards Judges awarded EAL with 'Qualification of the Year' for their Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings. The Judging panel said this qualification "goes towards saving lives" and is "designed to remove the barriers to take-up".
This new EAL Level 3 Award is a groundbreaking start in the journey towards bringing about higher levels of competency for electricians and building services engineering sector workers.
"The new EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings BS 5839-1:2017 has not only changed our whole business model at ZZEUS Training but is starting to have a huge effect on the industry," says Tom Brookes, Managing Director of Zzeus Training and early adopter of the EAL Level 3 award.
EAL was also awarded Innovation of the Year for their new platform – Engineering Talent. Judges commented that "It enables learners to navigate their way through the industry end-to-end, making it a more effective way to engage, educate and get employed."
The new addition to the EAL product suite is an extraordinary platform that has been specifically designed to support those who want to work in the Engineering and Manufacturing industries using a unique 'attract, retain and train' system.
A radical innovation for the engineering sector, Engineering Talent successfully combines technology and creativity to revolutionise the way recruitment works in the sector, embedding the UK's leading apprenticeship Talent Portal to boost talent acquisition and retention capabilities. In addition to this, the platform gives the sector full access to quality learning materials specifically designed to assist them in boosting staff retention and facilitating time and space for upskilling.
The 2019 FAB Awards were not only a triumph for EAL but also a fantastic celebration of the current British qualifications and assessments industry. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Federation of Awarding Bodies for their work and also to congratulate all of this year's finalists and winners - together we are further empowering the sector as it goes from strength to strength.
