WorldSkills UK engineering skills competition heats are now taking place across the country until mid-July.

Now that levy funding can be used for competitions and participation counts towards the 20% off-the-job training requirement for apprenticeships, there’s never been a better time for apprentices to get involved.

EAL learners have enjoyed great competition success, accounting for nearly 50% of the WorldSkills UK engineering competition national finalists last year.

If you or the employers you’re working with would like to find out more, why not attend one of the competition heats, which are taking place across the country until mid-July, to see what’s involved? Or book a place at a free round table event for employers and training providers interested in finding our more about competitions that’s being hosted by WorldSkills UK at EEF in Birmingham on 28th June.
