About the role

As a Project Manager, you will lead delivery on a number of in-flight and new, high priority projects amidst a changing landscape.  You will manage the end-to end implementation and delivery of projects, supporting  teams to ensure the operational implementation of activities through to BAU, to meet  customer and business requirements. 

About You

You will have experience of managing a matrix team to deliver multiple projects, being flexible across these. You will be an excellent communicator who is able to build credible and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as possessing a high level of commercial focus and acumen.

Supporting the Programme Delivery Manager, you will help in ensuring creation and rollout of our project and service delivery framework and toolkit, and continuously updating it with best practice from the market.

You will have a strong analytical background and excellent negotiation and conflict management skills; you need the ability to listen and offer direction to the wider team to drive problem resolution.

Must-have’s

  • Experience of leading complex projects, preferably within a regulated organisation such as an Awarding Organisation or FE/College
  • Experience of different project management approaches e.g., agile and waterfall
  • A track record of successful development of project documentation to ensure robust governance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Strong people management capabilities that inspire, drive high performance and develop team members.
  • Experience of project lifecycle management on appropriate systems and proficient user of Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills and the ability to present information in a clear manner appropriate to the audience.
  • Educated to a degree level (or equivalent) or a Professional qualification in project management i.e., Prince 2/PMP/ PMQ
  • The ability to organise own workload, meet deadlines and take the initiative whilst working as part of a strong team

EAL part of the Enginuity group have a great opportunity available to join our EQA Team.  The EQA Team play an important role in delivering an exceptional service to our customers by ensuring the centres that deliver our products are adhering to all regulatory requirements and quality standards.  They have an integral part to play in ensuring we give engineers the opportunity to change their world and ours. Our EQA Team who sit within EAL, the Awarding Organisation for Engineering and Manufacturing qualifications, and part of the Enginuity Group, are looking for an experienced Quality Assurer which requires to be occupationally and/or technically competent in Engineering and based in Scotland and surrounding area.

This key role will manage a suite of centres where you will be responsible for externally quality assuring EAL products and services across the Engineering sector, ensuring they are being delivered in line with required quality standards, regulatory requirements and EAL centre recognition requirements and policies. The role comes with great benefits including flexible working - home based. Once covid restrictions are lifted the role will include national travel, with car allowance included.

Who’s right for this role

Whilst skills are important and rightly so, this role also demands quick thinking, innovation and a customer focussed mind-set.  We are one team, regardless of the role you do, and we all play a part in our collective success. 

You’ll be hitting the ground running so we’re looking for someone who has previous experience of working in Engineering Sector background and has held an active position of Internal Quality Assurer.

As you will be a key interface between EAL and its customers you will need to build strong relationships by understanding your centres’ business objectives, needs, challenges and key stakeholders and use this knowledge and your excellent customer service skills to continue to support and grow the business to ensure EAL is their Awarding Organisation of choice.

 You will be someone who can demonstrate your excellent customer skills and have experience of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also be comfortable communicating using a wide range of electronic media and be open and adaptable to learning.

 Must-have’s

  • Occupational competence with demonstrable experience of working in the Engineering industry Sector as minimum
  • At least one of the following: A recognised apprenticeship related to Engineering, a Level 3 NVQ related to Engineering or equivalent, a degree related to Engineering, an NVQ Diploma in Engineering, or a Level 3 or Apprenticeship in Engineering
  • Recent Experience of working in the Engineering Sector
  • Previous experience and sound knowledge of S/NVQs/Employers Units of Competence’s and / or VRQ’s assessment
  • Hold A1 & V1 or D Unit equivalence with CPD evidence in relation to nationally recognised standards set by Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK), such as LLUK units 001-005
  • Held the position of Internal Quality Assurer within a Centre and have experience of working with Quality Assurance processes
  • Willing to travel across the UK and hold a full driving licence

About the role

COVID has hit the Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing and Building Services sectors hard. And the workforces we have helped to shape and develop are changing again and in lots of cases, reducing.  This has meant we are evolving the work we do to meet the new skills challenges emerging for employers.

Our EQA Team who sit within EAL, the qualification and skills delivery arm of Enginuity Group, are looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Assurer who is occupationally competent in electrical installation and /or maintenance in the Building Services sector.

This key role will manage a suite of centres where you will be responsible for externally quality assuring EAL products and services across the Engineering, Rail and Electrical sectors, ensuring they are being delivered in line with required quality standards, regulatory requirements and EAL centre recognition requirements and policies.
