Our new online extended diploma qualification transfer module is live. This means that EAL Centres will now be able to transfer learner registrations free of charge from one Extended Diploma Qualification to another Extended Diploma Qualification via Online Services.
A reminder to all centres carrying out SLC assessments:
Please could you ensure that all your SLC assessors have watched the EAL SLC Training DVD and completed the standardisation task before carrying out any SLC assessments with candidates.
Just a reminder that you do not need to submit Smarter Touch form ‘Reasonable Adjustments and Special Considerations’ to request 25% extra time on an exam.
This can be done without prior approval, as long as the relevant supporting paperwork (i.e. JCQ8 or similar) is maintained for audit purposes. All other requirements for example, a reader, more than 25% extra time etc. should be submitted as normal using the standard EAL form. For further information please see our reasonable adjustment guidance document and policy.
Thank you to all centres who contributed to our recent survey on Spotlight, our regular e-newsletter. The feedback on the content of the newsletter was positive, but the majority of you said you would prefer to receive the communication monthly rather than weekly, which we've put into practice from June.
In line with EAL’s regulatory requirements for continuous improvement, we have created the EAL Best Practice Invigilation Guidance. This provides an easy to read guide for centres on the basic best practice requirements for an invigilator to run EAL examinations.
